Days have gone by, and I have grown
I wish all along I would have just known.
I had to learn those lessons well
To make sure they were clear for me to tell.
Now I still make mistakes every now and then
But I am quick to learn and be a better leader of men.
They say I have a disease that I will not be cured of
I know I will win if I fight in the light of God's love.
I have peace in my mind, and love in my heart
I now know it's time to do my part.
I want to reach out to all who are lost and can't be found
Teach them slowly how to turn their lives around.
God has made me a messenger to tell of all my trials
I need to let everyone know the tears can be replaced with smiles.
The road is very long, and gets tiring so fast
Just hold on to God; that emptiness will not last.
When you finally set yourself free, life starts again
And you will realize all along your trials were really just your friend.

  1. Thanks for sharing (and for updating)! I like this poem. It made me think about how absolutely NO WHERE is without God. Even when we think we are in the darkest of places, God's light is still there. Continue growing in your faith, and keep trusting that God continues to whisper hope and promises to you and all people.
